Turkiye remained unbeaten at FIBA EuroBasket 2025, defeating Estonia 84-64 in Riga to move to 4-0 in Group A.

Already assured of a Round of 16 berth, Ergin Ataman’s squad showed no signs of complacency as they controlled the game from start to finish. The victory sets up a decisive showdown with Serbia for the group’s top spot.

The first quarter highlighted Turkiye’s depth and firepower. Adem Bona provided instant energy off the bench, while Ercan Osmani and Cedi Osman added key contributions to establish a 25-13 lead after 10 minutes.

Estonia attempted to rally in the second half, hitting three consecutive triples to cut into the deficit, but Turkiye’s defense and balanced attack prevented any serious comeback threat.

At the center of it all was Alperen Sengun. The Houston Rockets star dominated once again, posting 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists while shooting 61.5 percent from the field. He also connected on two of his three attempts from beyond the arc.

Sengun’s performance earned him an efficiency rating of 30, matching his tournament average. He also became the first player in 30 years to record at least 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in three straight EuroBasket games.

Osmani delivered a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Bona added 12 points on 6-for-7 shooting in just 17 minutes. Shane Larkin chipped in 7 points and 4 assists, keeping Turkiye’s offense organized throughout.

Estonia was led by Kristian Kullamae with 16 points, while Kregor Hermet added 12 and Matthias Tass scored 9. Despite moments of fight, their inability to consistently score inside limited their chances of pulling off an upset.

The win extends Turkiye’s dominance in the group stage, where they now boast a +95 point differential. With Serbia also unbeaten, their upcoming clash will decide who takes the top seed heading into the knockout rounds.
