The Golden State Warriors currently have six available standard roster spots that need to be filled. However, progress on completing the roster has come to a temporary standstill due to the unresolved status of forward Jonathan Kuminga.

The team is hesitant to finalize any agreements that would trigger the NBA’s first or second apron hard cap until there is a clear outcome regarding Kuminga’s future with the franchise.

Several players are reportedly lined up to join the Warriors once the team is ready to proceed. Among those expected to sign are veteran center Al Horford, defensive specialist De’Anthony Melton, and returning guard Gary Payton II.

Each has been linked to Golden State, but their signings remain on hold pending the Kuminga decision.

In addition to those agreements, the Warriors are also monitoring other experienced players to potentially bolster their depth, particularly in the backcourt and on the wing.

Notable names on their radar include seasoned guard Malcolm Brogdon, sharpshooter Seth Curry, and athletic wing Javonte Green.

Brogdon, who spent last season with the Washington Wizards, offers playmaking and scoring off the bench. Curry, having played most recently for the Charlotte Hornets, brings perimeter shooting and spacing.

At the same time, Green, who ended the season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, is known for his defensive energy and versatility.

All three players are considered unlikely to return to their previous teams, making them viable options as Golden State looks to round out its roster.
