Cam Thomas has sparked speculation about his future with the Brooklyn Nets after scrubbing all team-related content from his Instagram account.

The 23-year-old guard, currently a restricted free agent, remains unsigned deep into the NBA offseason.

On Wednesday, a Reddit user noticed that Thomas had removed every Nets photo from his Instagram feed, shortly after posting new solo workout images.

The move comes amid stalled contract negotiations between Thomas and Brooklyn’s front office.

As reported by Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, the Nets have extended a modest two-year offer worth around $14 million, including a team option in year two.

Thomas is reportedly seeking a four-year, $100 million contract, positioning himself as a starter-level player worthy of around $25 million annually.

Fischer stated on July 24 that Thomas “definitely seems to be the most likely player to take the qualifying offer” among remaining restricted free agents.

That qualifying offer would pay the LSU product $4.4 million for the 2025–26 season before he becomes an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Brooklyn has not increased its offer, and Fischer noted there is “no other real suitor out there” with serious interest in signing Thomas.

Rumors of a potential connection with the Detroit Pistons were downplayed, with multiple sources indicating that Brooklyn remains the most probable destination.

Still, the guard’s social media activity suggests growing frustration or an intentional message during contract talks.

Thomas averaged 22.3 points per game last season in 65 appearances, often carrying the scoring load on a rebuilding Nets squad.

Despite those numbers, the franchise has yet to commit long-term to the former first-round pick, possibly due to cap constraints and roster restructuring.
