The Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard are seriously exploring a potential reunion, with both sides expressing strong mutual interest, according to Zach Lowe of The Ringer.

Bill Oram of The Oregonian adds that discussions between Lillard and the team have progressed significantly, and the veteran guard is reportedly giving serious thought to a return to the franchise where he spent the majority of his career.

Shams Charania of ESPN reports that the former Blazer is close to finalizing a new three-year deal with Portland worth approximately $42 million.

The contract is expected to include a player option for the 2027–28 season, along with a no-trade clause, giving Lillard increased control over his future.

Lillard has played 13 seasons for the Trail Blazers and Bucks. He has averaged 25.1 points, 6.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 900 regular-season games.
