Myles Turner: It’s not a Cinderella story the way this industry goes

Here’s new Milwaukee Bucks center Myles Turner on if he was surprised that the team reached out to him during free agency (signed four-year, $107 million contract).

“Absolutely, I was. Just even the fact that they showed the interest that they showed. They put so much value in me and just trying to get out there to get aggressive to get me. I personally, I interpreted that it’s in a green light knowing that I’m wanted, knowing that they see me as part of their foreseeable future. So yeah, when I made the decision — obviously, it wasn’t easy. I was a teenager in Indiana all the way up until now — 10 years of my life — but it’s not a Cinderella story at the end of the day the way this industry goes.”
