Australian wing Alex Ducas is expected to sign with the Brisbane Bullets following his rookie season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to a report by Olgun Uluc of ESPN.
Sources told ESPN the deal with Brisbane is for one year and will be finalized after the conclusion of the NBA Summer League. Ducas spent the 2024–25 season on a two-way contract, splitting time between the Thunder and their G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.
The 24-year-old became the ninth Australian-born player to win an NBA championship after being part of the Thunder’s title-winning squad this past season. He did not appear in the playoffs but played 21 regular season games, averaging 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.0 minutes per contest.
Ducas signed his two-way contract with Oklahoma City in July 2024 after going undrafted and joining the Thunder for the NBA Summer League. He scored his first NBA points in January 2025 after recovering from a back injury that delayed his debut.
He also appeared in six games with the Blue, further developing his game in the G League. Known for his outside shooting, Ducas shot 47.6% from three-point range during his limited NBA minutes.
Before coming to the NBA, Ducas built his career in Australia with the Geraldton Buccaneers and BA Centre of Excellence before starring at Saint Mary’s College in the United States. He previously won an SBL championship in 2019 and earned NBL1 Youth Player of the Year that same season.
