Serbian guard Aleksa Avramovic has officially signed with Dubai Basketball on a three-year contract, the club announced Wednesday.
The 30-year-old playmaker joins the EuroLeague debutants after a strong season with CSKA Moscow in the VTB United League, where he averaged 12.8 points, 3.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals, earning Newcomer of the Year honors.
Avramovic spent the previous three seasons with Partizan Belgrade, helping the Serbian powerhouse capture the 2023 ABA League title and making two EuroLeague campaigns. In the 2023–24 EuroLeague season, he posted 10.2 points per game while shooting an impressive 67.3% on two-point attempts across 24 appearances.
At Dubai, Avramovic reunites with former Partizan teammates Danilo Andjusic and Nemanja Dangubic, giving the squad a familiar Serbian backcourt as it enters Europe’s top competition.
The 1.92-meter guard began his career in Serbia with Borac Cacak and OKK Beograd before moving abroad. His international stops included Varese in Italy, and Unicaja Malaga and Estudiantes in Spain, where he also competed in the EuroCup and averaged 7.8 points over 26 games.
On the national stage, Avramovic has represented Serbia with distinction, contributing to the team’s silver medal run at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and securing bronze at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
