Orlando Magic rookie Noah Penda recently spoke about his attributes as a player/improvement areas heading into year one (acquired in draft day trade with the Boston Celtics/selected 32nd overall).

(via Orlando Magic):

“Being in professional teams, I know what it takes to be on the court as a rookie. So the energy, the defense were like what I’ve been… even playing off ball was what I’ve been taught during my first pro years. So now in the NBA, I know I have a lot of work to do. It’s a really different game. I was an above average athlete in the first division in France, so now I know that I have to do some good work to catch up to those elite athlete guys in the NBA.

“So first part is going to be the body, and after, the shot. I’ve been working for one year now. I’ve improved my shot, but I still have some work to do. But it’s all right, I’m confident in the fact that I will improve and I’m just excited to see what type of player I’m going to become at the end of my career.”
