Hapoel Tel Aviv strengthened its roster for the upcoming EuroLeague season by signing former EuroLeague and NBA champion Elijah Bryant to a three-year contract through 2027–28.

The 30-year-old guard/forward arrives after four successful seasons with Anadolu Efes, where he won the EuroLeague title and swept domestic trophies in Turkey. Hapoel Tel Aviv announced the signing Saturday, calling Bryant a “versatile player who can contribute on both ends of the floor.”

Bryant posted career-best numbers in the 2024–25 EuroLeague campaign, averaging 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 36.1% from three-point range over 27 minutes per game. He played 38 games for Efes last season and emerged as a reliable two-way presence.

This move marks a homecoming of sorts for Bryant, who began his professional career in Israel in 2018 with Hapoel Eilat before moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv. He later joined the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2020–21 NBA season, where he won an NBA championship.

Bryant expressed his excitement about returning to Israel and joining Hapoel Tel Aviv. “I’m proud and excited to join Hapoel Tel Aviv. The project being built here intrigued me—the vision, the ambition, and the desire to succeed at the highest levels,” he said in the team’s statement.

Head coach Dimitris Itoudis welcomed the signing, calling Bryant a high-level addition who brings versatility and fits the team’s plans for its first EuroLeague campaign. Sporting director George Hinas added that Bryant brings a “winner’s mentality” and will help the club compete across all competitions.

Hapoel Tel Aviv will participate in the EuroLeague for the first time in club history this fall, and adding Bryant underscores its determination to compete at the top level.
