The Sacramento Kings have signed French center Maxime Raynaud to a three-year, $5.95 million contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
The deal is fully guaranteed for the first two seasons and includes a team option in the third year.
Raynaud, the No. 42 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, joins Sacramento after an impressive senior campaign at Stanford. The 7-foot-1 big man averaged 20.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game in 2024–25.
His development was notable across four college seasons. As a freshman, Raynaud came off the bench, but by his junior year, he earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors and was named the league’s Most Improved Player.
He opted to stay at Stanford after initially entering the transfer portal following the firing of coach Jerod Haase. Under new coach Kyle Smith, Raynaud helped lead Stanford through its first year in the ACC and was later awarded the Skip Prosser Award, recognizing the top scholar-athlete in the conference.
Over 129 career games, Raynaud averaged 12.6 points and 7.7 rebounds while shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from three.
The Paris native offers floor spacing and rebounding, two areas the Kings have looked to improve after a 40–42 season that ended in a Play-In loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Sacramento held the No. 13 pick in the first round but traded the rights to center Derik Queen to New Orleans. The Kings later acquired the rights to No. 24 pick Nique Clifford from Oklahoma City.
