The Milwaukee Bucks have officially waived forward Chris Livingston, according to a report from HoopsHype insider Michael Scotto on Wednesday.
Livingston, 21, was entering the third year of his rookie contract. His $2.22 million salary for the 2025–26 season would have become guaranteed if he remained on the roster beyond July 15.
Selected 58th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, Livingston appeared in 42 regular season games across two campaigns with Milwaukee. He averaged 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in just under five minutes per game.
The Kentucky product saw minimal action in the postseason as well, logging 11 total minutes over four playoff games. He was scoreless in the 2025 postseason.
Livingston’s best statistical stretch came during the 2024–25 regular season, when he appeared in 21 contests and recorded 1.4 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. However, he struggled with efficiency, shooting 33.3 percent from the field and going scoreless from three-point range (0-for-9).
The decision to part ways with Livingston opens a roster spot and provides added cap flexibility as the franchise looks to retool around its core of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Livingston becomes an unrestricted free agent and is now eligible to sign with another team.
