The Milwaukee Bucks are re-signing forward Chris Livingston on a fully guaranteed one-year contract worth $2.3 million.

Shams Charania reported Wednesday that Livingston’s strong performance in the NBA Summer League helped secure his new deal. The 21-year-old averaged 20 points, 5.3 rebounds, and shot 50% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range during the July showcase.

Livingston, the final pick of the 2023 NBA Draft at No. 58 overall, enters his third consecutive year with Milwaukee on a guaranteed contract. His steady development has earned praise within the organization, which waived him earlier this month to clear roster space before bringing him back under new terms.

In his first two seasons, Livingston appeared in 42 regular-season games, averaging 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds over just under five minutes per contest. He also made four brief playoff appearances, logging 11 minutes without scoring in the 2025 postseason.

The Kentucky product showed flashes of potential during the 2024–25 regular season, when he recorded 1.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 21 games, though his efficiency lagged at just 33.3% shooting and no made three-pointers in limited attempts.

Milwaukee initially waived Livingston on July 10 to avoid guaranteeing his $2.22 million salary for 2025–26. The move created cap flexibility while giving the Bucks time to evaluate his future during Summer League play.
