Brook Lopez has agreed to a two-year, $18 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, providing the team with additional size, rim protection, and floor spacing in the frontcourt.

The veteran center is expected to serve as a reliable backup to Ivica Zubac, while also offering lineup versatility by potentially sharing the floor with Zubac in two-big configurations.

The Clippers are using a portion of their $14.1 million non-taxpayer midlevel exception to finalize the deal.

Lopez, who is represented by Darren Matsubara, joins the Clippers after a productive seven-year stint with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he won an NBA championship in 2023.

Last season, he played in 80 games and averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.9 blocks while shooting 37.3% from three-point range, showcasing his ability to stretch the floor and anchor the paint defensively.

Due to the use of their midlevel exception in this signing, the Clippers will now be hard capped at the first tax apron.
