Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Memphis Grizzlies have finalized a five-year, $240 million maximum contract extension, solidifying his long-term future with the team.

Securing the power forward was a top priority for the Grizzlies heading into the offseason. He is represented by Austin Brown and Max Saidman of CAA.

As Memphis reshapes its roster following the trade of Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic, the organization remains committed to building around cornerstone players Jackson and Ja Morant.

Without this new deal, Jackson would have become an unrestricted free agent next offseason. The extension includes a player option for the final year of the contract.

In the previous season, Jackson delivered impressive performances, averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks over 74 games.

He was also honored as the Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.
