The Golden State Warriors have exercised the $1.96 million team option on forward Quinten Post, confirming his place on the roster for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season. NBA insider Michael Scotto reported the move on X, citing league sources.

Post, 25, appeared in 42 games this season, starting 14, and averaged 8.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 16.3 minutes per game. He shot 40.8 percent from beyond the arc, showing efficient three-point shooting as a power forward. His field goal percentage stood at 44.9 percent overall.

Originally drafted 52nd overall in the 2024 NBA Draft by Golden State, Post made history as the first Dutch player selected since 2009. After briefly being traded to Portland in a four-team deal, he was returned to the Warriors and signed to a two-way contract in September. In February, Golden State upgraded Post to a standard NBA contract.

During the playoffs, Post’s role decreased, as he averaged 12.2 minutes over 12 games, contributing 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 31.3 percent from three.

The Warriors finished the 2024-25 regular season with a 48-34 record, earning the seventh seed in the Western Conference. They advanced past the Houston Rockets in the first round but were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the conference semifinals.

Under the terms of his two-year, $2.4 million contract, the exercised option keeps Post under contract through the 2025-26 season.
