Portland Trail Blazers wing Matisse Thybulle has exercised his $11.5 million player option for the 2025-26 season, according to a report by Chris Haynes.
The 28-year-old will enter the final year of his three-year, $33 million contract.
Thybulle averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 20.8 minutes over 15 games this past season. He shot 47.7% from the field and 43.8% from beyond the arc.
Despite his limited appearances, the former All-Defensive Team selection continued to provide value on the perimeter, averaging 2.2 steals and 0.6 blocks per game.
Portland finished 12th in the Western Conference with a 36-46 record, missing the playoffs for a third straight year.
With the franchise pivoting toward a defensive identity, Thybulle’s return adds continuity and experience on the wing.
The Trail Blazers recently acquired veteran guard Jrue Holiday in a trade that sent Anfernee Simons to Boston.Originally drafted 20th overall by Boston in 2019 and traded to Philadelphia on draft night, Thybulle joined the Blazers via restricted free agency in 2023.
