According to Jake Fischer of The People’s Insider, Naz Reid is likely to opt out of his $15 million player option and enter free agency this offseason.
Reid, who contributed an impressive 14.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game during the season, is expected to draw significant interest on the open market.
Meanwhile, Reid isn’t the only key player on the Minnesota Timberwolves facing a pivotal offseason decision. His teammate, Julius Randle, also holds a player option and could follow a similar path into free agency.
Additionally, guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker is set to become an unrestricted free agent, further adding to the team’s roster considerations.
With several moving pieces, the Timberwolves are reportedly preparing to be proactive in retooling and strengthening their lineup in the months ahead.
The organization has made it clear they intend to pursue significant upgrades, as evidenced by prior trade deadline rumors that connected them to superstar forward Kevin Durant.
