In his end-of-season press conference, the Detroit Pistons president Trajan Langdon took time to reflect on the team’s impressive single-season turnaround.

With a 30-win improvement from 2023/24 to 2024/25, the Pistons’ progress was a testament to the successful additions of players like Malik Beasley, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Dennis Schröder, along with the contributions of their young core.

Langdon expressed pride in the team’s achievements, noting that the unexpected success raised both new expectations and excitement for the future.

He saw many positives from the season, even as he recognized the challenges ahead as they look to build on this progress.

“After a couple days [to] reflect, hell of a season for us… I don’t know another way to put it. Surprising, gratifying. Guess it creates different expectations going into next year for us. We can see that both ways, positively and negatively. But I think there’s way more positives.”

Langdon’s comments suggest that while the Pistons’ success has set the bar higher for next season, the franchise remains confident and optimistic about their trajectory moving forward.
