NBC has officially announced that 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony will be joining their broadcast team as they re-enter NBA coverage beginning next season.

Anthony will serve as a studio analyst, contributing to pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage for games aired on NBC and streamed on Peacock.

His addition brings a high-profile and experienced voice to the network’s NBA programming as it looks to make a strong return to professional basketball broadcasting.

Reflecting on the personal significance of this new role, Anthony shared how NBC’s coverage of the NBA during his youth helped ignite his passion for the game.

“Watching the NBA on NBC growing up shaped my love for the game,” he said.

“Now, I’m thrilled to join the NBC Sports family. I’ve always used my platform to help grow the game, and I’m excited to bring fans a fresh perspective as we usher in a new era of NBA coverage and programming.”

NBC’s broadcast team will also include veteran sportscaster Mike Tirico and rising play-by-play voice Noah Eagle as lead announcers.

Former NBA players Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller will join game broadcasts as analysts, rounding out a dynamic and well-known group of basketball minds.

NBC will begin broadcasting NBA games alongside ESPN/ABC and Amazon, who will serve as the league’s other national media partners starting next season, marking a new chapter in the NBA’s evolving media landscape.
