Kenny Atkinson focused on relationship with James Harden

Head coach Kenny Atkinson has reportedly focused heavily on building trust and communication with James Harden since the veteran guard arrived in Cleveland.

Following the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Game 5 playoff victory over the Detroit Pistons, Harden was seen speaking to teammates from his locker while Atkinson addressed the team.

According to ESPN, Atkinson has studied the periods when Harden played his best basketball, especially during his time with Mike D’Antoni and the Houston Rockets, where strong player-coach chemistry helped fuel his MVP-level success.

Although Harden has been inconsistent during the playoffs, league sources still expect him to remain with Cleveland moving forward.
