C.J. McCollum recently spoke with Mark Medina of Sportskeeda, offering an update on his right foot injury and sharing a hopeful outlook for his recovery.
The Pelicans guard said he expects to be fully healthy by the time training camp starts in the fall and plans to have a relatively normal offseason.
“I feel confident I’ll be ready to go when the time comes,” McCollum told Medina, emphasizing that while the injury has been frustrating, it shouldn’t significantly disrupt his summer training schedule.
In addition to his health, McCollum also commented on Zion Williamson’s growth this season, praising the young star’s improved professionalism and dedication.
“He’s taken a step forward in his approach,” the star guard noted, suggesting that Williamson’s commitment is showing up both on and off the court.
McCollum added that he’s excited by the potential of a fully healthy Pelicans roster, saying, “If we can all be out there consistently, I think we’re capable of making real noise.”
