The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed power forward Chukwuma Julian “Chuma” Okeke, filling their 15th roster spot, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

Okeke, the 16th pick in the 2019 draft, spent four seasons with Orlando after recovering from an ACL tear. He averaged 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 189 games with the Magic.

This season, Okeke played with the Westchester Knicks in the G League, posting 16.7 points and 8.2 rebounds in 45 games. He also appeared in seven NBA games with the Sixers on 10-day contracts.

Known for his perimeter defense, Okeke has improved his shooting, hitting 36.2% from three in the G League and 45.5% in limited NBA play. The Cavaliers had an open roster spot and did not need to cut anyone for the signing.
