According to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, the Heat will acquire the Warriors’ 2025 first-round pick if it falls outside the top 10.

With Golden State currently sitting as the fifth seed in the Western Conference, that outcome appears very likely.

Miami also has a chance to keep its first-round pick if it fails to make the playoffs. As the current No. 9 seed in the East with a 34-41 record, the Heat are guaranteed at least a play-in tournament spot.

If they are eliminated in the play-in, they would enter the NBA Draft Lottery.

As of now, Miami holds the league’s 11th-worst record, meaning their odds of securing the No. 1 overall pick or a top-four selection are slim.

However, they could still end up with two first-round picks inside the top 20, which would be a valuable asset heading into the offseason.
