Saddiq Bey, who tore his ACL in March 2024 while with the Hawks, signed a three-year, $20MM contract with the Wizards last July. After more than a year of recovery, he’s nearing his return.
Bey will practice with the Capital City Go-Go, Washington’s G League affiliate, this weekend, with plans to play in some NBA games in April.
The Wizards aim for him to suit up in April’s remaining seven games, including the season finale on April 13. Bey’s recovery is progressing well, suggesting he’ll be ready for next season.
Last season, he averaged 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds in 63 games for Atlanta. With a 15-53 record, the Wizards are on track for a top-five pick in the 2025 draft.
