Anfernee Simons led the comeback with 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter, hitting four three-pointers in the final period. Toumani Camara added 21 points while tying his career high with five three-pointers.
Deni Avdija contributed 19 points, six rebounds, and six assists, including a dunk-and-one that capped a 13-0 run late in the game. Shaedon Sharpe finished with 17 points, helping Portland (29-39) secure its first lead since early in the first quarter.
Jakob Poeltl and Ochai Agbaji each scored 19 points for Toronto (24-44), which struggled to maintain its early advantage. Scottie Barnes recorded 16 points, six rebounds, six assists, and six steals, including a highlight alley-oop pass to Agbaji from beyond halfcourt.
Matisse Thybulle made his season debut for the Trail Blazers after missing 66 games with an ankle injury. He finished with two steals and blocked a potential game-tying three-pointer by Orlando Robinson in the closing moments.
Portland hit 18 three-pointers compared to Toronto’s 10 and won the second-chance battle 25-18 despite both teams grabbing 19 offensive rebounds.
