Celtics starting center Kristaps Porzingis was sidelined for the seventh consecutive game on Wednesday due to a persistent viral illness, as Boston fell to Oklahoma City.

According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, Porzingis was initially listed as questionable but was officially ruled out just hours before tip-off. His prolonged absence raises concerns as the Celtics approach the final stretch of the regular season.

With the playoffs just a month away, head coach Joe Mazzulla acknowledged before the game that he has no clear timetable for the 7’2″ big man’s return.

The uncertainty surrounding Porzingis’ availability adds to Boston’s challenges as they look to maintain their standing in the Eastern Conference.

In his absence, 38-year-old veteran Al Horford once again stepped into the starting lineup, providing leadership and stability in the frontcourt.
