Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George is seeking medical opinions this week as he weighs the possibility of undergoing procedures to address lingering groin and knee injuries.
According to reports, George is expected to make a final decision on his course of action early next week.
The 34-year-old star is in the first season of a lucrative four-year, $212 million contract he signed with the Sixers last July.
In 41 games played this season, he has posted solid all-around numbers, averaging 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game while serving as a key contributor on both ends of the floor.
Philadelphia has already suffered a major blow with the loss of big man Joel Embiid, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
If George is sidelined for an extended period, it would further deplete a Sixers squad that is already battling adversity as they push toward the playoffs.
