Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Cam Thomas will become eligible for restricted free agency after the season.

Known for his scoring ability, Thomas has consistently demonstrated his offensive talents, but there are still several areas of his game that require improvement, as highlighted by Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Brooklyn coach Jacque Vaughn has emphasized the need for Thomas to become a more efficient and well-rounded player, particularly in terms of his defense and playmaking ability.

Despite his progress, the player remains a work in progress.

In recent games, opposing teams, such as Charlotte, have taken advantage of his weaknesses, aggressively trapping him during critical moments, like the Nets’ fourth-quarter collapse on Saturday.

Additionally, Thomas has struggled to maintain consistent availability on the court, having missed 81 games over the past three seasons due to various injuries.

As he approaches free agency, the challenge for Thomas will be proving that he can address these concerns while continuing to develop his all-around game.

Thomas has played 4 seasons for the Nets. He has averaged 15.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 214 regular-season games.
