Toronto Raptors guard Ja’Kobe Walter has missed the past two games due to a right hip flexor injury, initially listed as a quad strain. The team has limited him to stand-still shooting and will reassess him in a few days.

Reports suggest Walter has a Grade 2 strain, potentially sidelining him for up to a month, which could cause him to miss the rest of the season.

The 19th overall pick in the 2024 draft, Walter has dealt with injuries, including a shoulder issue that sidelined him for much of his first month.

In 44 games (11 starts), he’s averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 20 minutes per game.

Walter, with a guaranteed $3.64MM salary for next season, has shown promise in recent games, including a 17-point and 14-point outing.

His play suggests the Raptors will likely exercise his $3.81MM option for 2026/27.
