Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant continues to battle through a nagging right shoulder injury, determined to stay on the court despite its impact on his performance.

With teammate Jaren Jackson Jr. sidelined, Morant feels the responsibility to step up, even though he acknowledges that playing through the pain has affected his game.

“Terrible,” Morant said about his return against the Thunder, admitting that he probably shouldn’t have been playing. “I should have been out. But I was out there. Regardless of out, in – there’s going to be something said.”

The All-Star guard revealed that his shoulder soreness has been a lingering issue for months, dating back to an initial injury on December 27. Since then, the discomfort has persisted, making every game a test of endurance.

“I’ve played like this all season, honestly,” Morant said, emphasizing his resilience. “It is what it is. Got to get the win.”

His mindset remains focused on helping the team, even if it means pushing through physical adversity.

When asked if he expects to deal with the injury for the remainder of the season, Morant kept his response brief and uncertain: “I don’t know.”
