Mitchell Robinson, the big man for the New York Knicks, is nearing a return to the court and is expected to make his season debut soon. He is anticipated to rejoin the Knicks lineup within the next week.
Robinson has been participating in several full scrimmages recently as part of his recovery process. The Knicks have scheduled one final scrimmage for him early this week, after which he hopes to receive clearance to return to action.
Robinson has been sidelined since Game 1 of the Knicks’ second-round playoff matchup against the Indiana Pacers when he underwent ankle surgery.
Since then, he has been diligently working on his rehabilitation. The Knicks are optimistic that his return will give the team a valuable boost, offering additional depth in the frontcourt, both as a backup option and potentially as a complementary player alongside Karl-Anthony Towns.
Robinson has played 6 seasons for the Knicks. He has averaged 8.0 points and 7.9 rebounds in 320 regular-season games.
