The Toronto Raptors have signed Jared Rhoden to a standard NBA contract after his strong performance in the G League. Rhoden, 25, has showcased his skills with Raptors 905 and has earned a shot at the big league following a series of impressive outings.

NBA insider Michael Scotto reported that the Raptors have added Rhoden to their roster, bolstering their wing depth.

Rhoden was waived by the Charlotte Hornets on November 30, 2024, after spending a brief period with the team. He had been initially claimed off waivers by Charlotte on October 21 but struggled to secure a spot in their rotation, playing just four games this season.

During his time with the Hornets, Rhoden averaged just 1 point and 1 rebound in 3 minutes per game. However, his performance in the G League has been a different story. In 20 games this season, he has averaged 16.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while playing 29.4 minutes per contest.

Last season, Rhoden also spent time with the Detroit Pistons, where he averaged 4.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game.

For the Raptors, who are in the midst of a rebuilding phase, Rhoden’s addition offers potential for growth. The team currently sits at 17-38, ranking 13th in the Eastern Conference.
