Toumani Camara became part of a major three-team trade in 2023, which sent him from the Phoenix Suns to the Portland Trail Blazers just before his rookie season began.

Although he never suited up for the Suns, Camara believes he could have excelled in their system, according to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic.

Now in his second season with the Trail Blazers, Camara is making a strong impression, averaging 10.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He has also gained recognition as a standout defensive player, showcasing his impact on both ends of the court.

“I feel like the month I spent in Phoenix, a lot of people appreciated my game and stuff like that,” Camara said.
