Toumani Camara scored a career-high 30 points and hit eight three-pointers as the Portland Trail Blazers pulled away from the Philadelphia 76ers for a 135-118 win Monday night at Moda Center. Portland improved to 26-28 and stayed in the Western Conference play-in race, while Philadelphia fell to 30-23 after finishing a 3-2 road trip.
The forward shot 10-of-12 from the field and 8-of-10 from deep, stretching the defense and opening driving lanes for Portland’s secondary playmakers. His perimeter efficiency forced Philadelphia to extend coverage, which shifted the pace after halftime.
Deni Avdija added 26 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, controlling transition possessions and initiating offense from the wing. Jerami Grant and Donovan Clingan each scored 15, with Clingan protecting the rim and anchoring the paint during Portland’s decisive run.
The home team trailed 65-64 at halftime before delivering a 49-22 third quarter that changed the game. Grant tied the score with a three-pointer, and Avdija followed with another long-range shot that sparked an 18-4 stretch.
Portland built its largest lead at 113-85 late in the third after Robert Williams III connected from beyond the arc. The Trail Blazers finished 22-of-54 from three-point range and recorded 36 assists, reflecting strong ball movement against a defense missing Joel Embiid.
Philadelphia played without the star center, who rested a right knee after scoring 33 points in Phoenix two nights earlier. Without consistent interior scoring, the visitors relied heavily on Tyrese Maxey, who led all scorers for his team with 30 points on 10-of-21 shooting.
Kelly Oubre Jr. added 19 points, and Andre Drummond contributed 11 points and seven rebounds, but the 76ers lost control once Portland increased defensive pressure on the perimeter. The Eastern Conference contender shot 47% overall yet struggled to slow Portland’s spacing during the decisive stretch.
Scoot Henderson returned from a left hamstring issue and posted 12 points with seven assists, helping maintain tempo during bench rotations. Jrue Holiday added 13 points and seven assists, balancing the offense with half-court organization.
Portland won the rebounding battle 51-33 and generated 20 offensive boards, which led to extra possessions and second-chance scoring opportunities. That advantage offset 18 turnovers and allowed the Trail Blazers to sustain momentum throughout the second half.
The victory marked Portland’s third straight win and kept them ninth in the West standings. The 76ers, currently sixth in the East, return home Wednesday to face the New York Knicks, while the Trail Blazers travel to Minnesota for the start of a two-game road swing.
