Vasilije Micic made it clear that he remains committed to his NBA career despite speculation about a possible return to Europe.
“Honestly, I never considered going back to Europe. As long as I have a contract in the NBA,” Micic said, per Duane Rankin.
The Serbian guard emphasized that his decision to move to the NBA was driven by a personal challenge and a desire to step outside his comfort zone.
“As long as I have an NBA contract, I’ll be 100% dedicated to this,” Micic added.
The 31-year-old was traded to the Phoenix Suns on February 6, in a deal that sent Jusuf Nurkic to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Micic arrived in Phoenix along with Cody Martin and a 2026 second-round pick, while the Thunder received a 2026 first-round selection in the exchange.
Before the trade, Micic averaged 7.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 21.2 minutes per game.
Despite rumors linking him to top EuroLeague clubs, the veteran guard reaffirmed his dedication to continuing his NBA journey.
Micic is in the second year of a three-year, $23 million contract, providing Phoenix with backcourt depth as the team adjusts to midseason roster changes.
