The Portland Trail Blazers overwhelmed the Orlando Magic with a 119-90 win on Thursday night at the Moda Center. Scoot Henderson led the charge with 23 points, seven assists, and five rebounds as Portland secured its sixth victory in seven games.

Shaedon Sharpe also contributed 23 points, while Deandre Ayton added 22 points and eight rebounds. The Trail Blazers improved to 19-29, displaying an efficient offensive performance.

Franz Wagner paced the Magic with 24 points, and Paolo Banchero added 21, but Orlando struggled to keep pace. The Magic dropped to 24-25 after suffering their second blowout loss to Portland in a week.

Portland outscored Orlando 21-5 in fast break points, taking advantage of the Magic’s defensive lapses. The Blazers also held a 12-5 edge in made three-pointers, a crucial factor in the lopsided result.

Orlando’s offense never found a rhythm, recording just 13 assists compared to Portland’s 23. The Magic also struggled from beyond the arc, shooting 19.2% on five made three-pointers.

Henderson’s recent shooting surge continued, as he went 3-for-5 from three-point range. The rookie guard is shooting 43.8% from deep in January, forcing opponents to adjust their defensive approach.

Portland shot 52.6% from the field and 48% from three, maximizing efficiency in transition and half-court sets. The Magic, in contrast, managed just 42% overall shooting with minimal ball movement.

Off the bench, Cole Anthony provided 16 points for Orlando, while Wendell Carter Jr. added 12. However, their contributions were not enough to spark a comeback.

Sharpe’s aggressive play helped Portland maintain control throughout the second half. The third-year guard knocked down three three-pointers and shot 9-for-14 from the field.

Toumani Camara and Deni Avdija also played key roles, combining for 18 points and 10 rebounds. The Blazers’ depth proved to be a difference-maker in the matchup.
