During a radio interview on 96.7 The Ticket, the Dallas Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison addressed the team’s stance on potentially filing a protest regarding their recent loss.

According to Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News, Harrison stated that the Mavericks were unlikely to take such a step.

“You can appeal the decision, but it’s a costly process,” he explained. “You might feel better about it, but it’s not going to change the outcome. Referees make mistakes – it’s frustrating, but it happens.

“At the end of the day, it is what it is. We have to move forward and focus on the next game.”

Harrison acknowledged that while there are situations where mistakes can be made during a game, the team’s focus should remain on their future matchups instead of dwelling on one controversial loss.

The Mavericks’ GM emphasized the importance of accepting the situation and maintaining the team’s mentality moving forward.

Confirming Harrison’s statements, Marc Stein further reported that the Mavericks will not be filing an official protest with the league regarding the game, closing the door on any further action in that regard.
