Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey credited multiple players for stepping up without Joel Embiid & Paul George following Wednesday’s 109-103 home win vs. the Washington Wizards.

(via Philadelphia 76ers):

“It’s difficult, for sure. I think we know who we can be. We’ve seen it. Everybody’s seen it. But it’s hard when we can’t play together all the time, especially when you get rolling and some of us go out. It’s difficult, but it’s the nature of the game. We played 35 games now, so we gotta know it. But I was really proud of guys tonight like Ricky Council [IV], Justin [Edwards], those guys stepped up. Jeff [Dowtin Jr.], stepped up, [Adem] Bona. They were really good and just stepping up. What I said before the game was like, ‘Listen, you don’t get many opportunities in this league. But when you get the opportunities, you have to take ‘em.’ And I think those guys did a really good job tonight.”
