The Golden State Warriors are not pursuing a trade for Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler, according to sources speaking to Anthony Slater, Sam Amick, and Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic.

Despite widespread speculation, there have been no significant trade discussions between the Warriors and the Heat.

The Warriors are committed to keeping their core players, specifically Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga, who remain central to the team’s plans.

Instead, Golden State is reportedly focused on making deals for players on mid-tier contracts, seeking opportunities to strengthen their roster without disrupting their key pieces.

One name that has surfaced as a potential target for the Warriors is Nikola Vucevic, the skilled center currently with the Chicago Bulls. Sources have indicated that Vucevic is now being considered a viable trade option.

Vucevic is in the midst of a $20 million contract for this season and is set to earn $21.4 million next year. While his salary is notable, the Bulls are open to moving the veteran center.

Reports suggest that Chicago would be willing to accept multiple second-round picks as part of the trade deal for Vucevic, making him an attractive option for teams looking to bolster their frontcourt.

The Warriors could see Vucevic’s experience and skill set as a valuable addition to their title-contending roster.

Butler has had a storied 14-season career in the NBA, playing for four different teams, including the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat, where he has become a key figure.

Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated his all-around skill set, averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in a total of 836 regular-season games.
