Mario Chalmers believes Chris Bosh’s willingness to change his game was an important part of the Miami Heat’s championship success alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.
Before joining Miami, Bosh had been the main offensive option in Toronto.
His role changed significantly with the Heat, requiring him to spend more time away from the basket and give James and Wade additional room to operate.
“When he was in Toronto, he was that dominant guy in the post getting 25 to 30 touches a game, going to work, and being that dominant All-Star. But with our team, he had to switch out, go to the perimeter, and let LeBron be the guy in the post.
“It just shows how much versatility he had in his game. It was something he worked on…during that playoff series, we put LeBron and D-Wade in the post.
“So it just shows that he could adjust to anything. That was the great thing about CB – like you said, he was the catalyst on our team. He made our engine go on the silent tip.”
