After leading the Milwaukee Bucks to a commanding 97-81 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2024 NBA Cup championship game, Giannis Antetokounmpo was named the Most Valuable Player.

His remarkable performance, which included a 26-point, 19-rebound, 10-assist triple-double along with three blocked shots and two steals, earned him unanimous MVP recognition from all 20 media voters, as well as three of the five fan votes.

In reflecting on his teammate’s performance, Bucks center Brook Lopez couldn’t help but praise Giannis’ extraordinary talent and consistent improvement.

Lopez, speaking to Jim Owczarski of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel after the game, said, “I mean it’s… I could try but you know, I’ll just keep it simple: He’s the best player in the world. He just keeps finding ways to get better in the offseason, in-season, every day, every game, it’s just so impressive.”

Giannis has played 12 seasons for the Bucks, averaging 23.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 815 regular-season games. He has earned 8 All-Star selections during his career.

His honors include 1 Most Improved Player award, 1 Defensive Player of the Year award, 2 MVPs, 1 Finals MVP, and 1 NBA championship.
