Veteran big man Frank Kaminsky is set to join the Toronto Raptors’ G League affiliate, Raptors905, ahead of the upcoming G League Showcase in Orlando, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. Kaminsky, who recently entered the G League player pool, will look to continue his basketball journey after being waived by the Phoenix Suns.
Kaminsky, 31, had a brief stint with the Suns during the 2024 preseason, where he appeared in four games. He averaged 4.7 points and 3 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game, but his performance wasn’t enough to secure a spot on the regular-season roster.
This marks the latest chapter for the 8-year NBA veteran, who spent the previous season playing overseas for Partizan Belgrade in the EuroLeague. While in Europe, Kaminsky posted solid numbers, averaging 8.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.
Kaminsky’s shooting touch has always been a standout feature of his game, with the big man holding a career average of 8.8 points per game and shooting 35% from beyond the arc.
Before his return to the Suns in 2024, Kaminsky had a previous stint with the team from 2015 to 2018, where he established himself as a key player off the bench.
