Clint Capela is reportedly one of the most available players on the trade market this season. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Atlanta Hawks’ center is expected to be heavily involved in trade discussions as the deadline approaches.
Capela, 30, is in the final year of a two-year, $45.9 million contract with the Hawks. His expiring deal makes him an attractive trade candidate, with teams looking to bolster their frontcourt depth for the playoffs.
So far this season, Capela has been a consistent contributor for Atlanta. He is averaging 10.2 points and 9.3 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per game.
Despite his solid individual performance, the Hawks are reportedly open to moving the veteran center if the right offer comes along.
The Hawks are currently sitting in the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference with a record of 13-12. While they remain in playoff contention, Atlanta has faced some challenges early in the season, which may prompt the front office to explore roster changes.
