In a conversation with Sean Cunningham of KTXL (shared via a Twitter video), Jae Crowder discussed the opportunity to restart his NBA career with the Sacramento Kings.
Although Crowder expressed some disappointment at not being invited to training camp after participating in a September tryout, he emphasized his gratitude for ultimately receiving a chance to join the team.
“I thought I had a good week here,” Crowder reflected on his preseason efforts. “I was connecting with the guys in a great way, especially the younger guys latched on to me. … I felt like I did my job in the sense of just being a veteran when I came in the gym, and I just tried to play the right way and give myself a chance to be on this team.”
Crowder’s remarks highlight his focus on leadership and teamwork during his tryout, particularly his ability to bond with younger players and set an example as a seasoned veteran.
His emphasis on playing “the right way” and fostering connections within the locker room demonstrates the value he aims to bring to Sacramento both on and off the court.
