The New York Knicks have reached an agreement to sign Matt Ryan, addressing the team’s need to fill two roster spots within the first two weeks of the season. Ryan, known for his three-point shooting ability, joins the Knicks as they continue to refine their lineup for the current campaign.
Last season, the player appeared in 28 games with the New Orleans Pelicans, where he averaged 5.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game.
Ryan’s scoring is largely driven by his shooting prowess, as he holds a career three-point shooting percentage of 41.1%, making him a valuable floor spacer and offensive weapon off the bench.
Ryan was waived by the Pelicans in early October, making him a free agent. This provided an opportunity for the Knicks to add him to their roster as they seek to strengthen their depth and shooting options for the upcoming season.
