The Denver Nuggets have emerged with interest in guard Lonnie Walker IV as they consider potential additions to bolster their backcourt depth. Walker participated in the preseason with the Boston Celtics, averaging 7.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 16.4 minutes per game.

Although the Celtics expressed interest in retaining him, they were unable to make the necessary roster adjustments, which would have required a trade involving Jaden Springer – a deal that ultimately did not come to fruition.

Last season with the Brooklyn Nets, Walker displayed his offensive skills, averaging 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 17.4 minutes across 58 games. His scoring off the bench highlighted his value as a versatile role player capable of contributing in multiple areas on the floor.

Following his preseason stint, Walker signed with Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania but negotiated an NBA opt-out clause that allows him the option to return to the league until February 18th.

This clause keeps him on the radar for NBA teams like the Nuggets, who are evaluating his potential fit in their rotation as they look to strengthen their guard depth during the season.
