Indiana Pacers power forward Pascal Siakam spoke highly of Bennedict Mathurin as a scorer/competitor following last night’s 135-132 overtime home win vs. the Boston Celtics (30 points/11 rebounds/4 assists/9-17 FG/2-5 3-PT/10-11 FT/+3 +/-).

(via Indiana Pacers):

“We know Benn can do that: we know he can score. I think for him is just continue to have that focus and that mindset of being out there, doing everything to help the team win, because his skill offensively, we all know what he can do. He can do that with the best of ‘em. I think today: his head was right, he was in the right place. We all playing together. We trying to support him as much as we can. Same thing I told Walk (Jarace Walker) like, ‘It’s a long season. You want to play, you put a lot of work in the summer, and you come in and you expect to have these things, but sometimes it doesn’t work like that. But you can’t get down on yourself. You got to continue to work, continue to earn your spot.’ And he did that tonight. He was exceptional, just getting to his spots, huge for us on offense and also on defense. I thought his effort was great.”
