Here’s Indiana Pacers star Pascal Siakam applauding Andrew Nembhard for stepping up without Tyrese Haliburton during Saturday’s 114-111 Eastern Conference Final Game 3 home loss vs. the Boston Celtics (32 points/4 rebounds/9 assists/12-21 FG/4-7 3-PT/4-4 FT).

“I’m proud of his growth. I think it’s a tough game when our starting point guard is not in the game and you learned that before the game. It takes a lot of maturity and growth to be able to step in there and play the way that he did tonight. He was incredible, controlling the pace of the game, getting people to their spots. I think that’s something that he’s always been able to do, and I think that every time he has that opportunity, he showed it. Tonight was another night where he just showed that he belongs and he’s a big part of our team. So yeah, proud of him. Obviously we didn’t win the game, but I thought he controlled the game so well tonight and was a big reason for us being in the game.”
