Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations, Tim Connelly, recently sat down for an interview with Darren Wolfson at the Minnesota State Fair.
During their conversation, Connelly discussed a variety of subjects related to the team, with a particular focus on Wolves center Rudy Gobert.
As one of the team’s key players, Gobert is currently eligible to sign a contract extension with Minnesota.
Although Connelly didn’t delve into the finer details of the ongoing negotiations, he expressed his strong desire for Gobert to remain a central figure in the Timberwolves’ lineup for many years.
Connelly’s comments reflect the organization’s commitment to building a long-term future with Gobert as a cornerstone of the team’s success.
“We’d like Rudy to be here for a long time. We love his agent, he’s been a friend for a long time and is one of the best guys in the league. And certainly our goal with most of these guys is to keep them here as long as they want to be here,” Connelly said.
“Ideally, I think continuity is going to be one of the better strengths we have going into the season and we really like our core group.”
