Bayern Munich are reportedly looking to extend the contract of shooting guard KC Rivers, Spanish media reports.

Rivers’ short-term contract is due to end at the conclusion of the Euroleague regular season but the club, currently caught up in a three-way tie in the third and fourth spot for qualification to the Top 16 desperately want the talented American to stay.

Bayern are currently 4-5 in Group A, tied with Real Madrid and Crvena Zvezda. The German side need to beat the latter in round 10 this week to stand a chance of qualification.

It might also secure the services of the 28-year-old Rivers, averaging 14.9 points a game in the Beko BBL for a longer period.
